Eskrigge Social Research: Research Services

Research for practice:

  • must search for understanding - so called 'common sense' is insufficient as a base for practice;
  • must examine assumptions that are taken for granted;
  • must look for contrary evidence;
  • demands the promotion of ideas to influence policy and practice;
  • should involve people who might be seen as research subjects, as partners in the project;
  • must highlight good practice as well as bad, put forward solutions as well as problems.

ESR undertakes:

  • Policy analysis and development
  • Consultancy
  • Enquiry
  • Lectures & conference addresses

Examples of recently completed work are available in the Recent projects section.
